Able to commit to a year or more?

Friendly, outgoing, and customer savvy?

Have extreme patience?!

Eager to learn? To teach?

If you can rightfully answer "yes" to each and every of the preceding questions, apply now. These are all "must have" qualities to keep our company at the forefront of the industry. We are top tier and need you to be, too. We've won best dog walker in SF and even the entire Bay Area numerous times.

Here's what former teammates are saying, "I thought dog walking at Citizen Hound would be another of those regular jobs, but boy was I wrong. I would highly encourage anyone to work for this company, whether they want a career in animal care or not. What this job has done for my mental health is astronomical. From the culture of family on the team, to the incredible dogs, to spending time in the beautiful outdoors of San Francisco every day, to making the dogs’ parents happy by making their dogs happy, this job has given me so much happiness I can’t put it into words."

Typical shifts last five to six hours Monday-Friday, you start in the late morning and are home by early evening. You can expand hours if you desire, and many people do. For us, there is no such thing as mandatory work nights, weekends, or holidays, however, good extra income is available to you through boarding and outside hours walks on your own personal schedule as needed by our clientele. If you can sit dogs you can make thousands in cash.

Please inquire about pay rates when you apply. We pay above the typical starting pay in this industry and those that are here over a year make much more than the industry average.

If you've made it this far simply describe your interest in a convincing email that grabs our attention as to why you want/would own this position.
